Singapore visa for Indian passport holders
Indian passport holders cannot file a Singapore visa directly — it must be submitted by an authorised visa agent or a local contact. The form is short; Form 14A and the supporting profile are what actually decide the outcome.

How the Singapore visa works
Singapore does not accept walk-in or self-filed applications from Indian nationals. Every application goes through a Singapore-authorised visa agent, a strategic partner airline, or a Singapore citizen or PR acting as a local contact. The ICA issues an electronic visa, typically a 2-year multiple-entry visa for applicants with a clean travel history, and a 30-day single entry for first-time travellers with a thin profile.

Where Singapore applications go wrong
Form 14A must be filled by hand and signed
ICA still requires the physical Form 14A, completed in block letters and signed in the same style as the passport signature. Digital signatures and typed forms are routinely returned.
Employment and income evidence drives the visa length
The same fee gets you either a 30-day single entry or a 2-year multiple entry visa. The difference is almost entirely the strength of your employment letter, ITR and bank balance.
Previous overstays anywhere are checked
Singapore immigration shares data widely. An overstay or deportation from any country, even years ago, must be declared. Non-disclosure is treated far more harshly than the original incident.
Visa types
Single entry visa
Standard for first-time visitors. Allows one entry with a stay of up to 30 days as granted by the immigration officer.
Multiple entry visa
Issued at ICA discretion to applicants with good travel history. Unlimited entries during the validity period.
Business visit
Same visa class, filed with a company letter and a Singapore host letter for meetings, conferences and site visits.

Singapore visa questions
Can I apply for a Singapore visa myself?+
No. Indian passport holders must apply through an authorised visa agent, a strategic partner airline, or a Singapore citizen or permanent resident acting as local contact.
Will I definitely get the 2-year multiple entry visa?+
No — the visa length is entirely at ICA's discretion. A strong salary, filed ITRs and previous travel to developed countries make it far more likely, but nobody can promise it.
Do I need to give biometrics?+
Not before travel. Fingerprints and a facial scan are captured on arrival at Changi Airport.
Is a hotel booking compulsory?+
You need proof of accommodation. A hotel reservation or a host's address with their NRIC or FIN copy both work.
